Can I bring my camera?
Please feel free to take advantage of the stunning scenery of Mt Aspiring National Park and bring your camera. Guides and drivers stop regularly for photo opportunities. In fact the only time cameras are not recommended is during the 360 degree spins which our drivers will warn you of approximately 10 seconds prior. Please note that Dart River Jet Safaris do operate in a wilderness area and that any camera carried, is carried at the customers own risk.

How strenuous is the Wilderness Walk?
The guided nature walk through the Paradise Beech forest is very gentle, just a 30 minute meander through the native New Zealand bush filled with lots of informative photo stops.

Can I still participate in the trip if I am pregnant?
Dart River Jet Safaris strongly advise against pregnant people participating in either of their tours. If you are pregnant and choose to book a seat on a tour, the drivers and guides reserve the right to turn you away should they be concerned.

How wet will I get on the trip?
On the Jetboat there is a possibility that spray can come up in to the boat. They do provide optional spray jackets for you to wear under your life jacket.

What do I need to bring on the trip?
We recommend that all year round customers be prepared with a warm layer of clothing, comfortable footwear for walking and sunglasses/eye wear. During the summer months sunscreen, insect repellent are a must; while in the winter warm hats and gloves and an extra layer of clothing are strongly advised. A small bag is allowed to be carried with you for the entire duration of the tour, should you require any extra items.
