Terms & Conditions

Ultimate Travel Limited, trading as Ultimate Queenstown, is a locally owned and operated business operating out of Queenstown New Zealand and therefore all transactions will be billed in New Zealand Dollars.

Below are the terms and conditions under which Ultimate Queenstown operates its website offering you booking services for activities, attractions, combo packages and services. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, you must refrain from using ultimatequeenstown.com and its online services.

You are responsible for ensuring you are familiar with the latest terms and conditions as these may be amended in part or in full by the team at Ultimate Queenstown, with amendments being effective immediate at time of posting. Your continued use of the website and its services represents your agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions as amended. These terms and conditions were last updated January 2017.

Our Services

Ultimatequeenstown.com provides this website for you to find information about Queenstown and its activities, and book with local activity & attraction operators. When you make a booking and it is confirmed to you, you form a binding contract directly with the activity operator and accept the operators terms and conditions of sale, which may differ to Ultimate Queenstown's policies. Individual operators terms and conditions can be found on the activity information on the website listing. You must only make bookings that you intend to use and pay for. Without limitation, any speculative, false or fraudulent booking or any reservation in anticipation of demand is prohibited.

Bookings

Please be aware that once you proceed through the checkout process you will be asked for your credit card details. Ultimate Queenstown accepts Visa and MasterCard as forms of payment. Once you have confirmed your credit card details, your credit card will be charged the 100% of the activity fee owing. You will then get an email with a booking ID and your booking request details automatically sent to you. This is not a confirmation, but a booking request. All booking requests, including deals and packages, are subject to availability. A member of the Ultimate Queenstown team will then send your e-ticket via email once your activity has been booked and confirmed with the operator.

Your e-ticket should be treated as cash and becomes your proof of payment. You must print and present your e-ticket to the operator upon check in of the activity. 

Please call the activity operator to reconfirm your activity the day prior to travel on the phone number found on your e-ticket, quoting your name, operator reference and the Ultimate Queenstown e-ticket number. You may also be required to call at least 1 hour prior for weather dependent activities.

Cancellations and Booking Amendments

In the event an activity booking or portion of a booking is cancelled by the activity operator, you can either reschedule to another day or time or apply for a refund. To qualify for a refund you must explain the reason for the refund and provide the details of the booking to us for consideration. We will then contact the operator to confirm the refund and credit your card the refund amount.

In the event you need to reschedule, change or cancel your booking you will need to inform us or the operator via phone or email as soon as possible. If your request meets the terms and conditions required by all parties we will be able to proceed with your request. Please note: each operator states refund and cancellation policies of their own that Ultimate Queenstown comply with. All cancellations and booking amendments are at the discretion of the operator and Ultimate Queenstown.

If you cancel your booking then you will need to contact us to request a refund. All refunds are entirely at the discretion of Ultimate Queenstown and will only be considered given under certain circumstances. A cancellation fee of up to 20% may apply. If you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled departure time then no refund will be given. If you have purchased an Ultimate Queenstown package or individual quote we require 21 days’ notice of cancellation otherwise no refund will be given. If ski resort lift tickets or lesson packages have been purchased as part of a snow package these are strictly non-refundable.

Failure to attend on the day of your activity at the designated location and time will result in you being charged the full amount as a cancellation fee.

Snow Packages

Please note that any ski resort lift tickets and lesson packages purchased are personal to the named purchaser/user and are non-refundable and non-transferable products. Lift tickets are valid only for the winter season in which they were purchased and will expire at the end of each winter season.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers purchased through Ultimate Queenstown are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Gift vouchers are not able to be redeemed for cash or for anything on the website that is not a bookable product or service for purchase (i.e. some restaurants under the Eat and Drink guide). Activities and tours are subject to price changes and amendments at any time and therefore specific activities purchased as gift vouchers may be subject to change upon the giftee redeeming them. Any extensions on gift vouchers are at the discretion of Ultimate Queenstown.

Other Terms and Conditions

Ultimate Queenstown makes no warranty or representation about, and accepts no liability or responsibility for, the quality or suitability of any activity, attraction, product or service displayed on the website. Further Ultimate Queenstown advises that all activities carry a degree of risk and that by participating in the activity provided by the operator you are expressly assuming those risks personally and are releasing the operator and Ultimate Queenstown from any liability, claims, losses, damages or expenses.

By signing up for any activity/package you accept that both Ultimate Queenstown and the operator of any aspect of your experience are in no way responsible for any loss, or expense resulting from any decision made by the operator with respect to the activity.

Due to the nature of many of the activities provided on the site and the environment they are conducted within, operators at times will make decisions to cancel or postpone any activity or experience based on a lack of sufficient numbers, weather, genuine safety concerns or any other events or circumstances that prevent operation.

While we do our best to pair people up with suitable activities or experiences, Ultimate Queenstown is in no way responsible for, the quality or suitability of any activity, attraction, product or service displayed on the website.

Without affecting any of your statutory rights that cannot be lawfully excluded, Ultimate Queenstown is not liable under any circumstances (including, but not limited to, negligence) for any losses, damages, liability, claims or expenses (whatsoever and irrespective of whether direct, indirect, consequential) arising from the use of the website or the services or from the use of, or inability to use, any activity, attraction, product or service booked or purchased using the website.

None of these terms limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Payment, Fees and Charges

While Ultimate Queenstown charges you the customer no fees for our services, we reserves the right to change at any time the manner in which they are charged, imposed or collected. If we launch a new service, the charges for that service will be effective at the launch of that service unless otherwise stated.

All fees are inclusive of New Zealand GST and in New Zealand dollars, unless otherwise stated.

The name that will appear on your statement will be Ultimate Queenstown.

Ultimate Queenstown uses the DPS Payment Express Payment Gateway for its online credit card transactions. DPS processes online credit card transactions securely for thousands of merchants globally, providing a safe and secure online payment service.
