SCENIC FLIGHT + MILFORD TRACK WALK + MILFORD SOUND CRUISE

Departing from Queenstown Airport, gaze across the vast expanses of Lake Wakatipu. Once you cross the divide unparalleled views of Milford sound unfold below you as you sweep across the fiord and into Milford.

One adventure flows directly into the other as you board a boat to the Milford Track. From here a  three and a half hour guided walk takes you along a well formed track to the half way point, Giant Gate waterfall. At the conclusion of your walk its time to sit back and relax as you board a Mitre Peak Cruise through Milford Sound. Let there informative guides  point out scenic highlights along the way, such as the Bowen Falls, snow-capped Mount Pembroke, and the awe-inspiring Mitre Peak itself, towering 1692 metres from the ocean floor.

Fly back over the Milford Track before having your breath taken away when you first view the 548 metre Sutherland Falls. This scenic flight will allow you to take in magnificent views of the mountains, glaciers, lakes and forests of the Fiordland national Park on your way back to Queenstown.

Walk Difficulty: 

Some fitness required, easy walking. 50 metre vertical gain, 11 km return walk. There is some ares where terrain is rocky or rough underfoot. Walking time approx 4 hours. On occasion, wet weather may make conditions more challenging when puddles or streams may be encountered. Not recommended for children under 8 years.
